About Us
Foreground was founded in 2024 by Cody McLeod Rogers and Tristan Au – two old film school friends with nothing but a dream. From their working experiences, they saw a major change coming to the industry. A growing separation between independent films and studio films all while filmmaking itself is becoming more accessible meant the process of creating motion pictures was evolving. The glory days of studio pitches, network tv, and expansive writer's rooms are in the past. The limited support for independent artists grows increasingly competitive, oftentimes shutting out important stories. Finding equipment to tell stories may be more accessible but supporting one's life while doing it, is more challenging than ever before.
At Foreground, we don't just make movies and tv shows. We fight for our artists and their stories because we know they deserve to be seen. Whether it's in-house story development, IP acquisition, production budgeting and scheduling, post-production supervising, or anything in-between, we use our resources and network to bring diverse and unique stories to life.
